Matthes Titanium Folder ?

Hey DaveH!!

I happen to own a folder by Wayne R. Clark, which happens to look EXACTLY like Mr. Matthes's folder...so much that I had to e-mail Mr. A.G. Russell and ask him cause the similarities were so, uh, similar!

Mr. Russell kindly informed me that Mr. Matthes used to work with Wayne Clark, so there you go. I guess I could tell you about my folder, as it's virtually the same.

I first found out about Wayne Clark at a knife store in the Los Cerritos mall in southern CA. The owner had a small model #3,which is the knife shown on Russell's site, clipped to his pocket. I asked to look at it, and damn it if it wasn't the smoothest folder I ever opened!! Of course I didn't have the cash for one then, but I made a mental note...

Fast forward a couple of years, and out of nowhere there's a story in Tactical Knives featuring Wayne Clark himself!! Well, I go ahead and order one, finally, and it's been my daily utility carry since.

The blade shape is perfect, IMO, for most utility chores. I know it peels apples like a mother****er!! It slices through cardboard boxes, envelopes, string, etc. extremely easily, and, just like my drug riddled memory remembered, it opens smoother than Ashley Judd's firm thighs! The titanium handle is wearing very nicely, and the jeweled liner is just too groovy to look at. There's a small bone etched on the back of the blade; I asked Mr. Clark what that meant, and he said that when he used to be a trucker, his handle was Bones.

So, DaveH, I hope that this jumbled reply is of some help to you, at least. Go ahead and order the Matthes folder from A.G. Russell, you won't regret it. Or, if you can, try and get ahold of Wayne Clark, and order his Model #3. I think Les Robertson has his number...
