Sorry to say I won't be flying out of Portland Maine on the Sept.21st to be with you guys.:( It was a hard decision, but I had to take my family's wishes to heart. I honestly don't know if it would be possible to make it out that soon after the tragedy anyway, but the main reason is one of safety. My daughter and wife need me.

I hate that I have to not only feel bad about not going, but I also have to feel like I have been intimidated by those bastards into changeing the way I want to live. But as is often the case, we can't always make a stand when our families needs' are in question.

I hope everyone understands my reasons for making this tough decision. I will be there in spirit. and I WILL be at a Konvention in the future.

Thanks.

Rob

I'm sorry to hear this, Rob, but my guess is you are only one of many. If the planes fly I'll be there -- or else plastered on the side of some building somewhere.

I understand Rob. I was hopeing to meet you and it is better to be safe than sorry! We all will meet again at another convention!!

And it was the 2nd time this week that I could hear real anguish in the written word.
Rob is not only a fellow forumite to me he is also a "Brother of the Flute" and Rob was gonna stay in our home and help us out on the Friday before.
The help is covered, but Rob's company and some things we were going to do together aren't going to happen this time around.:(
Rob I know will be missed by all that do make it here, but Rob and myself will really miss the time we had planned together.
This is one time that my personal belief that things will happen when they're supposed to is very disappointed.
I do understand Rob's position and have no blame as I would have made the same choice. Immediate family comes first no matter what.
