Leather Max blade width for Danny the Bull Sheath

Hey, y’all! Here’s the deal: I have a big-@$$ Bowie knife (not a Busse) that needs a sheath. I’d like to avoid spending hundreds on a custom job, and it seems like a Danny the Bull Sheath, specifically the XXL 12 (https://www.bussecombat.com/xx-l-12-danny-the-bull-sheath/), would do the job lengthwise, but I’m not sure about the width.

By my measurements, the widest part of the blade, not including the guard, is a hair or two under 2.5 inches. Might there be someone with an XXL 12 sheath (or maybe someone from the company) who’d be willing to give me the measurements of the sheath opening?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I’ll happily send you as many pics of black cats as you’d ever want.

I don't have that DB sheath but I have a Busse BB13 and this is the recommended sheath for it.
It's just a hair under 2 1/2" at the wildest point.
