Max Photo Size for Uploads

Linking photos? Are you trying to post a photo that you have hosted elsewhere, using IMG tags? Or trying to attach photos directly? (If the latter, the maximum sizes are shown as soon as you click Manage Attachments). I always resize my photos for online use, prior to uploading them to photobucket, because overly large photos are annoying. How large are your images?

As for size...
When you link to a photo the photo shows up on the user's screen at actual size. I'm on a 15" laptop with screen resolution of 1400 wide x 900 high. Any photo larger than that won't all fit on my screen at one time. When I resize photos for photobucket I make the width 800 to 1000 maximum, or the height up to about 800 max. This also makes the file size relatively small so you don't use up a lot of bandwidth uploading, storing or downloading the image.
