Maxamet Manix deep pocket carry

I have a Maxamet Manix coming and would like to know why it doesn’t come with a deep pocket clip. It would appear that the Chaparral, Dragon Fly, Kiwi and Lil Native all come with the deep pocket clip. The CF Chaparral even comes with a black DPC.

Can one of these clips be purchased somewhere? Maybe I’m not awake yet but I couldn’t find one on the Spyderco website. Did I miss it or is there a custom one available?

Or, is there a good reason that Manix doesn’t have one?
 
Call Spyderco to buy the shorter clip.

They will bolt on no problem

But you will have torn pockets faster because the contact point has changed.
Instead of the clip making contact with smooth section on the FRN. It will
now contact the sharp ridges that will rasp away your pocket every time you pull it out.

I am not aware of anyone making aftermarket wire clips
 
I have a deep ride wire clip on my Maxamet Manix, thanks to @abbazaba. The clip contacts the scale right where it should. Not sure where he got this one though....

Here’s what a clip from a Caly 3/Slysz Bowie/Lil’ Nillaka/Sage 5 would look like. The bend in the bottom rides right on the first 2 ridges of texture above the logo.

(Edit: Just saw on Reddit that the wire clip from the Foundry model fits. Not sure what other models this was used on.)

This post made my day.

A new to me Manix Maxamet arrives tomorrow and I will be doing this mod.
 
Mine arrives tomorrow too. I guess we’ll both be calling Spyderco in the morning.
