I picked up a maxamet pm2 on the exchange today

In all my excitement waiting for it to arrive let me know what you guys think!

Does it like a coarser or finer finish or anything else you want to say!

How does it perform against M4?

My Manix came with a mirror finish. 2 years and still razor. Very hard steel.
M4 is a tough steel. Likes a rougher edge.
I think they're apples and oranges.

Im no expert but IMO this is the best example of this knife. Best steel with the best knife. The edge retention is just stupid. I mainly use it to slice through cardboard and open boxes. You wont be dissapointed.

Im not sure havent had to sharpen it yet. Tbh i dont think it really matters. This is a very very hard blade. I think i cut glass with it one time...well scored it..Or the glass was weak. Either way.

I keep mine at 15 degrees per side. Some folks have experienced brittleness with their maxamet (and for a given blade, all other things being equal, a thinner edge is a more brittle edge), but I have had no such issues.
