Not sure what to call this thing, but I'm trying to get every tool from the Victorinox Alox line in one knife along with a few extras from the 91mm line. Basically the XXLT of Alox.

Wrapping all this in custom HAIII Hard Anodized alox handles.

Blades

Standard Large
Standard pen blade
Large Wharncliffe (custom)
Large Sheeps foot (custom)
Eletricians sheepsfoot
Pruning blade

Tools

Saw
Scissors
Pliers
File
Awl
Phillips
Flat screwdriver/caplifter
Can opener/small flat
Magnifying glass

Minus a couple spacers, everything works well so far. Anyone know of any other tools ever put in alox?? I'm looking for a serrated soldier for the blade, but can't think of anything else.

A MAximum ALOX? You could call it MAALOX!
Oh, well, let me think about this a little longer ...

Not that I'm disagreeing with the whole idea, which is genius by the way, but, Isn't that the name of a medicinal product for hyperacidity?

How 'bout "MaxAlox"?

Oh well. Just a thought.

Keyring?? I'm putting a pocket clip on it!:D

Wow, did I really forget the keyring?

I have to redo it anyway but it will definately have a keyring on it before its done.

I thought Maalox was funny but don't think the name's gonna stick.

With the olive drab HA handles, I thought a military name might be better.

Almost looks like a tank. If I could just get the cybertool on it....

How about "AloxAlot."

It's pretty cool, but it doesn't look very pocket-friendly!

You could do one with just the blades and have something like a traditional slip joint knife (stockman, etc.).

Name suggestions:

All + ALOX = ALLOX

Or, since this is an officer's knife and the highest rank is General, this could be called the General or the 5-Star. Similar concept to the Cadet model name, but in the opposite direction.

Lots of choices, but the name of the thread's title (Maximum ALOX Mod) is probably the best, most accurate and descriptive name after all.

WOW!! Just the blades and the saw would fill a dream for me (actually the hook, electricians, small and large blade with saw). But that is one cool new toy!!!

Hey Scibeer..

Have you ever added a corkscrew to a Pioneer? Is that a impossible mod?

What about a pioneer sized Bantom Alox? Will the combo tool fit?

Just curious.

I never peened this one. Still trying to find time to go through it and make it all work.

The bit driver needs a fourth pin and specialty springs so that would be a ton of work to see if it would even fly. I'd love to have one on there though.

Corkscrews and other spine mounted tools won't go on the Alox knives since they use solid backsprings. All the 91mm backsprings that have spine mounted tools use the fourth pin as an anchor too so you'd have to drill a hole in the scales to ake it work and it would be right on the shield.

The combo tool unfortunately doesn't work in the alox knives (from the 84mm and 91mm knives at least. The spring lets it fall into the body too much and add slop to the layer. The 111mm combo tool from the Hunter may work after being drilled out to fit the alox 3mm pins. The thickness would need to be adjusted with a thin spacer though.

I just thought that the sacking needle/marlin spike is an Alox tool you are missing, but with the rarity of those nautical models, I can't imagine you taking one apart...

Yep, missing that and that long skinny chisel type blade too.

I am NOT taking apart my First Mate for the needle though. If I find a beater somewhere that will work.
