What's the highest HRC s30v has ever been heat-treated too and are there any production s30v knives that are over rockwell 62?

Highest ht hardness for s30v is 65.5rc and I've made knives at 65rc. Latest R&D 64rc s30v blade should pass whittling elk-antler-tip test using 13.5dps edge angle. *note - my ht is proprietary
Wow that's amazing, I don't think I've ever seen anyone heat treat s30v to 65 before or even 64 for that matter, knew one production company back in the day doing a claimed 61 to 62 and seen a few customs at 63 but that's it. I always wondered why people never took s30v up to 63 to 64 more often because there use to be several makers running BG42 up around 64 back in the day and s30v at least in theory should be a little tougher than bg42.

What kind of toughness are you seeing with your 64hrc blades? can you widdle oak without them chipping? what about slicing meat and the accidental rub in with a bone?

Test: S30V 64rc, 13.5dps, ~0.008" behind edge thickness. Whittle Argentine Lignum Vitae, cut/chop rope, whittle elk antler tip

Result = passed!
