Hi I currently have a Maxpedition Kodiak and Sitka, however I'm looking to move away from the gearslinger series, and I'm looking for a double strap Maxpedition pack. My problem is that I'm looking for a double strap pack that can carry gear and on certain days be able to carry a binder and book, I noticed with both sitka and kodiak that they were not wide enough and almost busted the zipper trying to close it. Can anybody recommend me a pack? I was looking at the Typhoon, and Falcon ll.

Thank You

If you have any intentions of ever using the backpack on a long hike, or just all day load bearing in general, I would look at the new Zafar and Xantha packs. I know they're expensive, but anything with an internal frame is going to be exponentially more comfortable on the trail than one without.

Camelbak quality is much better than Maxpedition, check out Camelbak's Urban Transport pack.
