i was thinking of getting this pack for day and over night hikes. is this pack comfortable and can it hold a lot of gear. thanks

I just got one this weekend but I'm impressed with the quality of workmanship in mine and i can hold a nice amount for one or two days (two may be pushing it). I took it on a short hike yesterday and like the fit, it could have been better but then if I was smaller it would have been. I'm sure other will be along soon with some long term use.

You're better off going to your local REI and buying a real hiking pack. Maxpeditions are strong and tough but are way too heavy for serious long distance hikes.

I consider my condor II to be a daily stash bag. Toss in some odds and ends, and that's about it. I wouldn't even use it for a day hike. I think they are great for an urban jungle, but absolute garbage in the real outdoors.

If you're looking for something that kind-of looks like the Condor (i.e. tactical), take a look at the camelbak linchpin. It's much more comfortable (once you fit it to you properly) than the Maxpeds. I've owned the Condor 2 and Falcon 2. I love the maxpeds, but they're not as comfortable for hiking as the Camelbak.

does anyone have pics of o foliage green condor 2 because i got an od green but like the looks of the foliage.
