Maxpedition Devildog anyone?

Are any of you using or contemplating acquiring a Maxpedition Devildog for EDC/BOB use? I am (put your thumb tip and index finger tip together) this close to ordering one of these.

Compared to the Fatboy, this thing may have several benefits: increased carrying options (shoulder strap and seriously heavy-duty waistbelt), two mesh bottle/"misc. stuff" pockets, and I may be able to convince those who laugh at my man-purse that I'm some sort of pseudo-superhero "rescue ranger" (not to be confused with a Power Ranger, of course), and I have to be ready to spring into action at a moments notice, hence the need to have at my side--always--my trusty RR-issue bag ("Sorry, sir; the contents of the bag are divulged to non-sworn civilians on a NTK basis only." )

Seriosuly, I think this might be a viable candidate for an EDC bag, something large enough to pack the bare essentials in lieu of having your "real" bag (mine is a Camelbak Motherlode, packed for 3+ days and stowed in the car or work closet when possible) at hand.

Thoughts?

I've been running with one for about a month now as a supplement to my laptop bag. So far it's been an easier bag to deal with than either the Fatboy or the MOB from Maxpedition. I know this is heresy, but I've turned it into a hybrid BOB and lunch bag. I can put a water bottle on one side, and thermos of coffee on the other. I have a decent little survival kit inside, a substantial first aid kit, a small camera and a few other items. That still leaves me room to fit the Kahr PM-9 and 2 spare magazines, plus snacks or lunch, as needed. The bag is very versatile, and seems to be just the right size to drag around with my briefcase. It does get a little too chunky, though, if you try to attach any of the other Max. products to the front, and the attachment points on the side aren't too much good unless you're using the waist belt, which I never have. (When the waist belt is tucked away, you can still get to the side attachment points, but there's nothing really holding them in place, so they're not "locked in" like the other points around the bag." I am comfortable with their medium radio case not being too much weight, so I've got that hooked to the side. Overall, I probably own a dozen Maxpedition products. I really like them all, but this one is definitely in the top 3 or so. Hope this helps.

Now that a little more time has elapsed since they came out, anyone else want to jump in with a review?

I am just glad this isn't opening that discussion again. I have one and like it but it doesn't see as much use for me.
