Hey guys, wondering what you think of the Maxpedition Excelsa. From the reviews I've seen on YouTube everyone says it's great. But when I checked a couple other forums they said they wouldn't buy it since was from a non knife maker. If anybody has opinions on this knife please leave a reply.

Thanks!

I've never handled one, but it's like buying a knife made by Smith an Wesson. Or Camelbak. I wouldn't do it, purely because I don't want a knife with a backpack companies logo on it. I'm not trying to be negative, but for me it's gimmicky.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

I purchased a Maxpedition Small Excelsa a little while ago. I really like it. I had been looking for a Titanium framelock for a EDC. And a Titanium framelock with D2 was awesome! When i got it, i was really suprised with the quality. It came razor sharp and centering was great. It comes with a tool to adjust pivot and pocket clip. It took a little time to get used to the slanted thumbstud, but now i like it. Its wicked smooth with a strong lock up. Detent is pretty strong on mine but its not that much of a problem for me. And the box that it came in is really nice :)
Heres a picture of the Small Excelsa next to my Benchmade Mini Griptilian
