Maxpedition Falcon and Condor Question

I recently bought a Maxpedition Falcon and Condor and have been looking them over pretty well. I'm sure I haven't found all the zippers, pouches, and pockets yet but I did notice something. On the Falcon, on the back where a bladder fits, the top pull-strap is sewn to the top of the pack and you can't really open the back to put a bladder in. I mean, it's possible, but very difficult to even pull apart the velcro. Even then, you only have about 3-4 in. of clearance on each side of the strap. On the Condor, on the back where a bladder fits, the top strap is free so you can use it to pull open the velcro and open the pocket.

Below is a picture of the Falcon (and it looks as if it is also sewn to the top)

and now picture of the Condor.

I was just wondering if this is the way it is supposed to be. Seems kinda strange that the Falcon's back strap would be sewn to the top. Anyway, if anyone that has any knowledge of these packs could shed a little light on the subject I would appreciate it.

Thanks...:)

No answer to Your ?, but they sure make rugged packs!
I'm waiting for my woodland camo Vulture pack to show up, can't wait :D :D
