MAXPEDITION Falcon for $50!!

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up..

A friend of mine trying to "out do" my bag just spent $120 on a Maxpedition Falcon direct from Here And to my joyful surprise, his bag is the EXACT same as my $50 "Level III assault pack"

I'm assuming sportsmansguide is either carrying factory seconds, or maybe it's a special contracted production run... but there is no difference at all.

Same material
Same dimensions
Same straps, padding, compartments..

$50 less the normal.

It kinda rings a bell, but I don't know much about backpacks. Anyone know if it is the gov. version or a second of a well-known brand?

actually the max pack has the same shoulder straps. Other then the fact that one has a "Maxpedition" label on it, you can't tell the difference.

I was looking at your post of the two pics,the max pic,second row,second from the left,looks to be wider then the level 3,I would still go for the cheeper pack,You could buy a couple for the price of one max pac. Good luck!

Maxpedition packs are constructed of

1000-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight nylon fabric... Hight tensile strength composite nylon thread... High tensile strength nylon webbing

rather than the

100% heavy-duty polyester

on your Assault Pack. It might be a good pack for the money, but it isn't the same pack.

I had a falcon for about a month... I traded it for a knife. the shoulder straps were to close together. they kept rubbing on my neck.

Don't know about the Falcon, but the Condor is a nice bag.
