All,

I just bought my first Maxpedition Jumbo versipack and before it gets here I'm trying to come up with a good list of useful things to toss in it.

So far I have:

Sig 229 + an extra mag (maybe 2)
Gerber 06 Auto
letherman wave
first aid kit
nalgene bottle
hand sanitzer
surefire flashlight
extra batteries
blackberry
rain poncho
pens
writing pad

What else have you guys found to be handy items to throw in your EDC bag?

Thanks for the help!

100mph/Duct tape.
Spare change ie $5.00 in quarters.
Knife and sharpener
550 cord
point and shoot camera with spare batteries

I don't know if you're serious or joking... I hope you're joking...

If you climb on top of something, you will probably have to climb down. If you can keep yourself from climbing on top of stuff, you will rarely have to climb down :D.

What if you have to climb up something?

Not hardcore survival stuff, but telephone recharger. I usually don't have one when I need it, but now I do. I also keep mini-survival kit in addition to things mentioned.

So how do you like the pack?

Have been looking at that one and the Collosus(sp?)--but can't decide.

UGH! Unfortunately it hasn't gotten here yet. I suspect it will be in on Thurs. I got the shipping notification that its enroute but nothing so far. I'm looking forward to checking it out though. I've never owned any Maxpedition products but I've heard great things about them.

DMT folding diamond sharpener. Ferro rod. glock g19. first aid kit. compass. whistle, string/small diameter rope. extra knife..

the best is my Izula is locked on the shoulder strap upside down for easy grab and stab. use the clip that comes with it. clip it to the strap on the strap and take the paracord that is used for the neck knife and wrap the sheath to further attach it to the strap.. here is a pic. its not good but it kinda shows you what i was talkinga bout

Spork, toilet paper, super glue, latex gloves, anti bacterial wipes, peanut butter in a squeeze tube, dental floss, Swiss Card, and much of what the other posters listed are always in my ruck.

Fellas ya'll are a wealth of info! I really appreciate it, I can't wait to set this bad boy up.

Hungsolo, thanks for the picture. Not only does that that look pretty bada** but also does it look super useful/handy. I've been looking for an excuse to buy a RAT Izula...and I think I just found it! :D
