Maxpedition M-1 vs. Maxpedition 4x6 = which one is better?

I've got an M1 but not the 4x6 which, as far as I can see, is just a slightly larger version of the M1.

I don't think one is better than the other, just depends on what you want it for. The M1 makes a reasonable sized container for wearing on a belt and has enough room for things like wallet, sunglasses, keys etc. I discovered that it wasn't really big enough and upgraded to a Fatboy. This has recently been superceded by a Pygmy Falcon 2.

If you only have a few more things than will comfortably fit in a good sized pocket then the M1 will suit you fine IMHO.

This thread is better suited to Gadgets & Gear so off it goes.

Is the M1 too big? Does it stick out too much?

You're going to need to define "too much" and "too big".

It's big enough to carry most of the EDC type crap that most people, (except women), carry around with them but not so big that things will rattle around in the bottom and you have to dig for them.

I guess, when empty, it's going to stick out from your belt, if that's where you will carry it, about the width of your hand or thereabouts. Only you can decide if that's "too much".

I appreciate your feedback, gajinoz. Is the M-1 cumbersome when you sit down with it on your belt? I wonder if the 4x6 is better when you sit down with it attached to your belt.

Don't know about the 4x6.

The M1 depends on where you have it. If it's in the middle of your back it's going to get a little uncomfortable when you sit and it would be annoying, for me anyway, hanging over your crotch but if it's hanging off your hip, like, say, a gun holster then it would be fine. If you're the type of person who swings their arms a lot close to the body while walking it might get in the way a little. I tended to have it located about half way around between the middle of my back and my hip so it was sort of hanging over one buttock. Seemed to work for me.
