I visit this forum sometims, but I just read, not post. But as I'm a knife shop owner, and deal with Blue Ridge knives, I thought you'd be interested in an email I got from BRK this morning: Dealers are no longer allowed to sell via Ebay or Amazon. Such a policy is usually described by a manufacturer as 'getting control of their company back'.

I'd like to know more about this, and honestly don't much care for price fixing and other restraints on commerce. I know that a manufacturer can tell a dealer how to price an item, and understand why they do it, but I can also buy from Maxpedition's competitors too.

I didn't receive any more information that this, along with a couple more PNGs (and ebay logo and an amazon logo with red stripes through them).

This is part of what I received:

It's not uncommon, actually. Many companies have started to implement such stipulations with retailers.

Some are struggling with the fact that a massive number of the counterfeit items sold go through ebay. I know of a couple of companies that regularly deal with people trying to get warranty work on counterfeit goods not knowing they don't have the real deal. Since eBay is unwilling to help they may just be trying to remove the biggest part of their warranty headaches. Just a guess?
