I'm looking for a pouch to mount onto the chest strap of my sling bag (Noatak) and, since there's no nearby dealers, I can use some help in selecting the right pouch. I'm looking for the smallest pouch that can hold the following load:
  • a monocular 4.2"x1.5"x2"
  • a Raynox macro lens 2" dia x 1" thick
  • a stepped on 35mm container/flash diffuser 1" dia at bottom/flat at top x2" length
  • possibly a Panasonic camera battery approx .5"x1.25"x1.75"?
Would an Anemone or an M-2 be sufficient?

Thanks

M-2 will be sufficient. The Anemone will be a bit tight for all that stuff, I think. I use an M-2 as a first aid kit and it carries a bunch. Hope this helps!

My apologies, Grouch is correct that the two pouches are close in size. I was thinking of the M-5 which is much bigger.

Yup. The anemone wouldnt work, but I think the M2 definately will:)

Yup...I called Maxpedition and they confirmed that the dividers in the Anemone would make it unable to hold the monocular. The M-2 can hold the entire Anemone!

Does anyone here know how hard it would be to remove the dividers from the main compartment of the Anemone? Or, does anyone make a pouch that's of similar dimensions to the Anemone but without the dividers?
