Ok dudes. I havent bought any new gear for quite awhile. I have decided I want a new EDC shoulder type bag. I have thought and researched, and have decided on either the lunada or remora. Im leanin twoards the lunada. Which do you guys suggest? Anyone have em both and could hook me up with a side by side pic?

What color??? I cant decide. Its between OD, and tan.

I like the OD, as Ive had a few packs from em in this color. However, Id really like a coyote colored one, but Maxpeditions tan always seemed lighter then coyote. I thought they had both coyote and tan, but all I can find is tan. It looks darker now then I remember. Is this a fact? Did maxpedition darken their tan?

The look pretty similar. I just watch a youtube review of the Lunada. Looks pretty cool. Gonna check out some of the others too, I'm in the market for a day pack of sorts. These look great. I think I'd go with the Lunado over the Remora as a day pack because it has more space. I'm gonna look at their Jumbo Versipacks as well.

I should also say that this pack will be used for walking the dog, farmers market trips, shorter dayhikes and mountain bike trips, and a general EDC type bag to carry the 10.

Jake,

Can't help you with the color selection (cause mine is black), but I like my Remora a lot. I rotate through a lot of packs and gear, but the Remora is constant EDC. Great little pack, IMHO.

I'd say, unless you like to carry very little, that the Lunada looks more suitable for that.

Check out this review of it. He goes through everything pretty much.

There's reviews for all the Maxpedition bags on youtube.

I've got the Malaga in Coyote Brown and like quite well.

I haven't quite made up my mind about all the pockets. In some ways, I'd like fewer pockets/organizers. But all in all it's well made kit and has become a daily carry bag.

The Ramora is a bit petite for my taste, and it looks like the Lunada has a more comfortable shoulder strap. I have a Malaga that I've taken to the farmers market and nearly filled up. Very happy with it. I'd say a little extra room never hurts, but not enough room is a pain in the butt.

If I were you I'd go with the malaga instead. The little bit extra carrying capacity comes in really handy. Both colors look good with the khaki being more sheeple friendly.

J - it sounds like you and I are on the same page. I didn't want to get another Maxped bag but their shoulder bags are really calling my name. I'm looking for something fairly small.

I have the malaga, and agree with the above statement. It's large enough you can fit books or notepads in it, too.
