Hello to all, I have the urge to buy a rat wallet and I can't find much about it on the forums. I can only find the standard maxpedition pictures and I would like to know if a cellphone in the frontpocket will be secure enough not to fall out of it. The pocket is from bottom to top 3 inches and my phone is 1.75 inch wide. From the pictures it looks like the phone can fall out on the sides where there is an opening for the antenna. Does the flap only fasten with one buckle or is there also velcro on it so I can adjust the opening?
I hope someone has the answer to my questions, thanks.

I use the RAT Wallet for my Nokia 7250 which is about 1.75 inch wide. So far, I have had no problems with it.

The sides of the wallet is covered by thick elastic panels with some space for the phone's antenna to stick out and the flap fastens with velcro in addition to the buckle. Most of the time, I don't fasten the buckle (quicker access) as the velcro is secure enough for everyday wear.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know there is velcro on the flap, I thought it was just one buckle which seemed to me to little for a secure closing. I just ordered one and I hope it will be here soon.

I finally got my computer running again. I got the wallet in and I like it. It's big of course, the phone fits well and is good secured. The change pocket is not very usable because it's in the flap that folds over the phone and it becomes to tight to reach in. There is also a "secret pocket" under the beltloop for stuff you want to take with you but don't use very often.
