Yes I know. Another Maxpedition thread. But I just upgraded my day bag due to those threads, and I can say I should have done it sooner.

Mine came in from Two Wolves on Wednesday. Only a week and a half from when I ordered it. Not too bad for an item not in stock.

Since the rain finally stopped here I took it outside to transfer as much stuff from my old bag as I could. For its size it really does hold quite a lot.

From the CCW pouch: Poncho and folding saw.

Left zipper pouch:FAK with Benedryl, tylenol, immodium, gauze pads, tape, band aids, neosporin. Two AA and one AAA spare battery.

Top Flap zipper pouch: fire kit with fatwood,Jute,PJCBs (in match case) ,LMF Scout w/striker,full size Bic. Whistle, compass, water purification tabs.

Front zipper pouch:Pill bottle fishing kit with, 3 floats, hooks, sinkers, line. 25' of Jute twine and unkown footage of 160# test waxed nylon twine for cordage. Space blanket, 2 person Heatsheet,LED minimag, E-Z lap sharpener,6' duck tape.

Bottle pouch: Bottle and cup.

Main pouch: EMPTY :D. That is reserved for food for hikes. Or any stuff my son thinks he needs but can't fit in his buttpack. I tried real hard to make sure I didn't need to use the main compartment. And it turns out I didn't need to. Plus I still have a couple of slash pockets that are empty.:)

Just in trials out in my woods the pack seems comfortable. It stays put reasonably well(I have not used the belt loop), and doesn't flop around.

This pack will get its first use on Saturday when I take my son out for our first "real" dayhike of the season.

I've got one of those blue ones too. I usually use my Malaga, but the Jumbo comes in handy from time to time. :)

im starting to want one of these but since i have yet to mention my izula to my fiance i might have to hold off

An Excellent bag and hold alot of stuff, Congrats !!!

I remember seeing your setup in a thread in the RAT forum. Great setup. Seeing all the kit you guys were able to carry in one of those in that thread sent me down the path to getting one. I have a neatfreak, but it still really holds an amazing amount and my intent was to have something I could toss into my daypack for hiking, not use as a daypack.

Question for you - is that an Orange bandana from goinggear.com? It's one thing I need to add to mine.

Thanks :D

Glad you like it, Todd. Nice set-up you have going there!
The Jumbo is a great pack in any color. The blue is outstanding tho, isnt it?

I HATE YOU ALL! April Fools! but seriously I ordered one of thease from campingsurvival.com last tuesday, I was promised it would be here by this tuesday, and now I have a week long atv/camping trip starting tomorrow. I went of the maxpedition website and found some places that carry them in raleigh, so Im gonna get one on the way to my camping location, then just send theirs back when if it ever gets here.

I have been eying the Mongo my self. I am wondering if my computer will fit in the main compartment.

It is listed as 12x4x9.5

My computer is 13 x9.75 inches. I wonder if there is enough give in the sides to let it slip in.

Has anyone added a grab handle to theirs? either jumbo, or mongo, or colossus?

Here is another question. I know it is supposed to be better for one side carry, but if you get tired of that' is it really awkward to carry it over the other shoulder?

Todd, Nice setup. I love my Jumbos!

Tony, What's the "Backpacker poncho" you have pictured?

Still waiting for the Jumbo EDC to come out in Foliage, then I'll get an S Type. It'll drastically increase my bugout bag volume.
