Good grief! Their ad says that they are easily assembled and disassembled without tools. I think you either need monkey fingers or needle nosed pliers, especially with the 5 inchers. Is that everyone's experience, or am I missing something?

I've always had to use my Leatherman. And even then it takes quite a bit of twisting and wiggling, particularly when trying to remove them.

I use my leatherman also . Its harder to take them off than put them on.

I found the same thing. I had trouble getting them to be rigid enough to hold the pack correctly and get them through the webbing. I switched to using Blackhawk S.T.R.I.K.E. Speed Clips.

It's all in how you weave the Tac-tie thru the webbing. If you do it right, the pouch being attached will be rock solid with no slop and be one with the pack. You will need a needle-nose pliers to install and remove.
