So..I did a little experiment for a buddy of mine. He wanted to see what he could cram into the small backpack.. all clothing was freshly bought.

His attempt..

One pair pants
Two shirts
Two pair socks
Two pair drawers
Gloves
First aid kit
32 oz nalgene
200ft paracord
Maxpedition organizer (full)
A knife and multitool(molle)
Tarp and emeegency blanket
Flashlight (molle)
My attempt...hehehe...

Two pair pants
Two shirts - one tshirt and one thermal
Two pair socks
Two pair drawers
Thermal pants
Gloves
Maxped organizer(full)
Firstaid kit
200ft paracord
Folding knife/multitool
One fixed blade
Folding knife/multitool(molle)
Flashlight
32oz nalgene
Several protein/calorie bars.
Folding saw
Etool

I also mounted his camp knife on the side(molle) and a hawk on the other. Sufficed to say, we turned a day pack into a 3day pack. The closure and zippers performed smoothly.

But being a single strap model, would you want to carry it? I've found the single strap works only when lightly loaded. They're nice for bulky but light stuff like lunch and an extra hoodie.

I must have confused it with something else. I looked it up and it does have two straps. Sorry for the confusion. I have a Condor II and like it a lot, except it's so heavy. I recently picked up a HPG tarahumara and can't wait to give it a whirl.
