Just alerting you guys to the fact that Maxpedition has just released several of their bags in new color schemes! (If you were at SHOT then you know which ones I'm talking about.) At any rate, check 'em out over HERE. I actually wish that I didn't have my Falcon II so that I could justify buying one of the blue ones...

I like the blue actually. I might have to get one, I have always like the looks of the Falcon and I love my Pygmy Falcon.

I wonder when they will have the pouches available in these color schemes. i would like to add a pouch or two to that Falcon.

The water bottle holder in orange would be sweet...I tend to lose things in the woods:D

I just picked up a falcon II a few weeks ago. What an awesome bag. Was never that into tactical gear, but it's amazing how many knives and tools you can lash onto the external straps. Makes it easy on those gear testing days.

Hooray for the blue!

Blue is my go-to "hi-viz" color. I have common red-green colorblindness, so reds and oranges don't stand out all that well in the woods to me. But blue, on the other hand... stands out like a sore thumb!

I just bought some feathers for fletching a batch of hunting arrows... the hen feathers are blue.

Maxpedition makes great stuff and I'm glad to see them trying something a bit different.

Stay sharp,
desmobob

Was just looking a t gettin a falcon the other day, I really like the khaki foliage. Is the falconII big enough to be considered for a 3 day pack??

I saw this a few days ago, though it is cool. I really like the looks of the falcon II, wish there was a pic of it in orange.

It seems plenty big for a three day pack, depending on what you want to bring of course. I think the Vulture is a much bigger pack, might want to check that one out. The versatility of their packs is great. Tons of accessories for whatever you'd need/want too.

I should have this guy in my hands next week. I just picked it up from TwoWolvesOutdoor.com........along with an RC-3 Orange handle, a One Hand Trekker and a diamond sharpening rod.......man that will be a good day when the order arrives. I love being able to order all my gear from one place, and only $10 to ship the whole thing. You can't beat that with a stick.

I like that pack but it really seems like it centers the weight rather far away from you body. I tend to prefer a taller pack that will snug in a bit closer, especially if I am carrying a heavy load. Does anyone have experience with this bag?

Wow, what a haul! I think the Versapack looks cool in that color, too! I wish they had nifty color combos when I bought mine.

I like the pack in itself, though you are right about the centering issue. You might be able to help that if you pack the heaviest stuff against your back and lighter stuff farther out. I could be wrong, but I think the PYGMY is the same thing, though without the third compartment. Might help solve that issue, plus it is cheaper.
