maxpedition

Yes you will (get hits). I don't know what the jumbo goes for, but I just got the regular size (which holds quite a bit) and the thing is built like a tank. Good design, lots of nice features, good quality materials and workmanship- is it worth the price? That's up to you, but if you're talking about the Fatboy and that's what you want, what choice do you have?

not much choice i guess..............Ill do a search on them and see how long it takes me to buy one after readin some reviews. probably not very long.;)

ha ha!!!!!!!!!!! I was right. just ordered one in od from brigade quartermasters.
Im gonna use it as a lightweight daypack. Seems worth the $$$$$$$ to me.

i have a jumbo versipack and just picked up the pygmy falcon II. great packs and definitely worth the money. they are actually less expensive than many camelbaks and the tadgear alpha pack.

I have a standard Fatboy and would do it all over again. Batteryjunction.com has pretty decent prices on em and are reliable (I am not affiliated with them).

I have a Jumbo Versipack, and I like it a lot. I use it for EDC to work, using it to shuttle my lunch and mini 'just-in-case' kit. For this use, it is fantastic. However, last fall I took it on a long weekend camping trip and panned on using it as a daypack for hike. It ended up overstuffed and became uncomfortable after wearing it for about 3 hours straight. If I have to wear it for an extended period of time, so be it. But if I know I'll be wearing a pack for a while, I'll grab my Camelback Honcho of other appropriate back pack.

I will say that Maxpedition items in general are not just functional, but they also exude that 'cool' factor. :)

what sold me on the jumbo is the sheer amount of stuff I can fit in it. :) I can fit a pretty extensive psk in mine along with the few smaller handtools I use on a daily basis plus a camera and 12oz. flask and there is room to spare leftover.

It makes a great daily grab bag but I could see how carrying it for hours or days at a time could get annoying. A leg tie down may or may not help with that.

Thet are pricey, but theyre very good kit.
I use a Last Resort as my work briefcase, a Devildog as my EDC bag, a Proteus for lightweight use & a Falcon as my daysack.
