an interesting M43 that was repaired with a new bolster, full tang and wood grips attached with brass screws and hex-nuts. All welded together, very strong and probably done on scene around 1943-1945. The slip on canvas cover and Indian style frog just add to the unique qualities of this WW II kukri probably used by an engineering battalion, but certainly not acceptable Gurkha kit.

Thanks, JP.

April made it the whole month on my desktop, I usually get bored and change it weekly but that "Miss April" khuk was great.

Have been lurking on the new historical site- waiting to see what it becomes- but seems like it has a lot of potential.

Yup, but the new site is in serious need of a Nepali/Devangari scholar - anyone heard from Beo lately?
Thanks for another great calendar, John.

I like the choice of the old canvas background as well as the khuk for the calender.

Oh- the last I saw here from Beo was on one of the memorial threads or both for Rusty and Bill.

Anothe beauty, John. Thanks!

I think Beo was last looking for a phone number for Birghorka.
