Hey guys, I'm in my challenge shelter!
I'm also bored because I forgot my dinner at home. I was gonna cook steak over the camp fire.

I downloaded an app on my cell that turns words into text so I can post and not have to type so much. I'm digging this app big time since I'm out here with just my dog and he's been asleep in the shelter for a few hours and typing on my cell is annoying.

My fire got a little to big and it got really hot in here for a few minutes but I let it die down and it's comfortable now. I got tore up by the mosquitoes earlier but the fire took care of them.

I am taking lots of pics and I'll post them tomorrow when I get home. I'm very comfortable in here but for some reason I'm just not tired. My dog is dreaming. He is fast asleep but his legs look like he is running. I think he's dreaming about chasing squirrels. That was his afternoon past time today.

Update- Green tree frogs and grey tree frogs started calling. They are really loud. My dog woke up and wants to go check out whatever is making the sound. I'm tempted to catch one and show him but I'm afraid he would think it was food.

I'm getting tired. I think I'll hit it soon.

do pushups ;) passout!

grey tree frogs are great :>

cuddle the dog. dream of squirrels.

Update- caught a grey tree frog and got pics.

They have died down now and I'm gonna try to get some sleep. Its nice and warm in the shelter and no bugs so this is gonna be a nice night.

Took a pic and let him go
Cuddling with the dog. He makes a good pillow.

That sounds like fun i'm jealous. Maybe it's a good thing you forgot your steak. I'm not sure where your at but bear visits in the night make me nervous.

I know what you mean but my dog is a great early warning system. He is very alert when we are out and always knows whats around long before I do. I carry bear spray but usually a stern yell is all it takes to send them running.

I figured you knew what you were doing. It doesnt help with my jealousy issues :) I was thinking to myself how ironic it was that you are sitting there in a very primitive camp typeing on a very high tech device lol. Have fun!

That irony is not lost on me. I also saved my shelters location on my phone's GPS two weeks ago when I made it so I would be able to find it again if it was dark when I came back for the sleep over.

It's really kind of cool the way you can give real time updates of what our doing directly to the forum.

I'm home, had a great night. The dog slept like a rock and I used him as a pillow all night. Here is a shot of the shelter last night and a pic of the tree frog that was keeping me awake for a while.
