I really believe that Mohd was making and is making a sincere desire to understand the outlook the USA has on the current events and I posted the below in his defense.
Please check out the thread I have posted and do what you can. We all know Mohd not to be a violent man, just the opposite.

Guys you don't know me as I seldom, very seldom post in this forum, however I am well known on the Himalayan Imports Forum in the Makers and Manufactures List.

You can either take my word that I know Mohd from the H.I.Forum and know that he is one of the good guys or you can go over there and do a search.

Mohd is Muslim and lives in KL Malayasia and just by that has a much different outlook as well as cultural differences from us the people in the USA.
And with Mohd being a personal friend of mine and welcome in my home anytime he may be able to get to the states I am very disappointed to see what I consider Muslim Bashing on this forum let alone in the streets. I realize that the links Mohd posted may be controversial, didn't look at them persoanlly, but please give Mohd the benefit of the doubt and that indeed he is searching for real answers and not promoting dissension or looking for arguments.

Religious intolerance strikes at the freedom of all Americans and should never be excused or tolerated.
 
Its no wonder Mohd is totally confused. Between our politicians, foreign polititians, the legitimate media, overseas press, the radical/extremist press, and a minority of prejudice nut cases that feel they are judge, jury and executioner, its hard for anyone to really know whats going on.
 
As has been stated elsewhere, the HI forum is one of the more enlightened forums on BF and likely on the InterNet. I like to think that one can come here anytime, post and then engage in a good, rational discussion without the issues being clouded up and the discussion becoming a flame war. Besides, I think that the intellegent person wouldn't want to get a bunch of khukuri knuts riled up!:eek: ;) :D

Thanks for all your support - I am very very sad on the Pentagon & WTC disasterous incident - I scared that it might lead to bigger disasterous incident - I can't imagine what will happen to many kids, women and ordinary souls if big war erupted just because of the foolish & stupid act of few terrorists! I am your friend & not your enemy - I and majority of Muslim in this world are not in favour of the idea in terrorizing innocent ... but we don't know how to stop it!

1)Muslems say we support Israel,true, we do but we also try to keep the peace & we have always given aid to both in times of disaster
2)Muslems say we deserve what we got! OK ,why innocent civilians, these people were NOT COMBATANTS just people doing their jobs!Muslems say NO MATTER U.S. is guilty because you support Israel! You should be punished!OK AFGANISTAN supports Terr. & is GOING TO GET PUNISHED!!

Mohd living his religion to the best of his abilities doesn't understand Iran wouldn't print something like they did in one of his current posts without it being true.
Mohd is of a completely, to us, foreign religion and culture. Not that it matters to us, but the facts are it's hard for Mohd to know what is true and what is not when it's printed in newspapers or on websites.
I don't think Mohd is as jaded and cynical as the rest of us here have learned to be from being lied to by the politicians for all of our lives.
I don't have a clue as to what would happen to anyone who questioned the government's motive's in other countries, but I imagine in some that it could get you and your family very much dead.

We have came to know Mohd and understand that he is a very loving father and family man and that he doesn't like the violence that's going on in the world concerning muslims. The guys over in political have had enough trolls and other a*sh***s come in there and spout political BS until they're very leary and cynical about someone like Mohd who comes in posting such BS from websites in the parts of the world that hate us.

Like I said, "I seldom post in that forum," and I don't because I have other issues that are generally more important to me
personally.
I wish Mohd had of came here and asked the questions he is asking instead of the political forum.
I presonally may have not been able to help Mohd much, but I think some of the other folks that come here fairly regularly could have.

My advice to Mohd would be to stay out of the political forum unless he quits posting the links to, the obvious to us, American hateing and anti semetic websites.
It would perhaps be best to ask for links to websites where one could get the real truth if there are any such places.
I really don't know how a muslim and someone from a different culture would go about asking questions there to get answes without alienateing the people on that forum.

Jim Clifton made some very stringent points in his post.

IIRC it seems that at one time the muslim countries were very tolerant of religious freedom. Am I mistaken?

They weren't hurting anything.
I have no use for anyone or any religion or culture that doesn't have religious freedom.
Everyone should be able to choose for themselves as to what they want to believe as long as it causes or brings no harm to another's belief's!!!!
 
I still haven't been to the links Mohd posted and probably won't go. I've been to enough such places to have learned it is generally a waste of my time.

Years ago when I was living in Nepal the only way I got world news was from the radio. I had three choices: BBC, Radio Moscow and Voice of America. It was amazing to me the different interpretations of events that I heard. I put more trust in BBC than the other two. I can understand Mohd's confusion but will second Bro's advice. I think he will find more honest answers here than anywhere else.
 
The difficulty for mohd and for the other peaceful muslims will be that there will be no more future possibility for them to lean back and say they don't understand and else do nothing. It is virtually impossible for westerners and non-muslims to secretly enter the extremists muslim groups to know what they are planning. So in my opinion the normal muslims will have to get rid of the problem on their own. If they don't work on it they will get into big trouble. It is difficult for me to explain what i want to say in a foreign language. I hope you can understand it.

I am an atheist and i have no problem at all with religious people as long as they leave me alone. BUT i have read the Bible and the Koran. I have good knowledge about religions from old egypt over shintoism, jews, parsists, bahai, buddhism, hinduism, northern shaman (Odin/Thor) religions to todays sects. And i have always been very interested in history. In my personal opinion religions are no good. Looking back at history, there are way (WAY) more crimes done in the name of the one or the other non-existing gods than good things done by religious people. I think that especially religions that are based on aggressive expansive ideas are dangerous. And the Islam, practiced by peaceful people or not, is by definition one (and the most aggressive) of these religions. Ask a normal, peaceful, practicing muslim if he wants you to convert to the islam.

By the way, there were two WTC-terrorists that lived for several years in Germany. Guess what? They lived here as the most peacful guys you could think of. No crimes, no aggressive religious behaviour, no problems with the authorities or their neighbours. Perfect papers, no financial problems. Just friendly, peaceful guys. Another fact that shows that the muslims will have to solve the problems from within their group.

You sound like a decent, intelligent and honourable person and you must be for these people to have so much trust in you.

But please understand that the the Americans are extremely angry at recent events and the links you have posted are akin to flinging fuel on the fire. They may misunderstand your intentions and see this as the equivalent of going to a funeral for victims of a violent crime and trying to justify the actions of the perpetrators.

i just came back fr outstation to attend funeral of my uncle some 300 kms fr kl - - he was a very nice & a very close uncle who always offer helps whenever i faced difficulties - he was suddently fell sick early friday morning & passed away few hours later - i drived there with my wife and a son and stay there for about 3 days

... I wish Mohd had of came here and asked the questions he is asking instead of the political forum ...

yvsa - yes - i wish i have done that also ... :( - i guess i shouldn't post that thread at all - now i know that it will be wiser for me to just keep quiet on certain issue where my words might be seen and treated as propaganda or carry certain hidden agenda other than pure sincerity.

We know your heart, Mohd, and they don't.

We also know that satellite television and the internet only appear superficial in our daily lives. But they bring us together in an immediate way so we can know each other in a way that was not possible a decade ago. That makes a tremendous change inevitable.

As the now banned from the forum Ghostsix said, " You cannot know your own culture without knowing another first. " If that's not exactly what he said, it's close enough to make the point.

What you are learning about us is going to change the way you see your own land.

The people who pointed out the stories that you linked to are biased are correct, however they failed to note that much of what they depend on is biased also.

In other words, you are going to be the mirror in which they see themselves reflected. And they are not going to like what they find out about themselves.

As I said before, we know your heart, and they don't. And the simple things we know from the heart come from the Spirit, whatever the name any of us call him by.

As far as your "stupid mistake", I remember a saying that goes something like this... "While some people hesitate because they feel inferior, others are busy making mistakes and becoming superior."
