I apologize if this has to be moved I'll know for next time were it goes.

Doug, That's light colored wood for Macassar Ebony. However, I've seen some that was light. Yet, I've not seen a standard 4dot 110 mirror polished. So, that leads me to believe the wood may not be Macassar.
Buck Custom shop was starting up at about that time and 'the shop' was known for merely taking a knife off the production line and dressing it up. So, maybe it's from those guys. Carefully, examine the blade well and all areas for initials. This would tell us something. Its a handsome 110 for sure. DM

Oh wow, that's awesome. I think this one is gonna stay in the collection now that its raising some eyebrows.

Thanks so much David.

That's a very nice 110 and a bit unusual with it's characteristics. I'd hate to put a dollar value on it....how about "very desirable".

Hey Doug, can you post a pic of the spine and/or well of this knife? Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks Doug, that sure is a beauty! I can't help ID'ing it, but sure looks like laminated birch to my eye, and some of the nicest I've seen! Maybe a search of the LE list on the BCCI site will offer some insight on it.

I agree, looks laminated. Are the bolsters more rounded than typical for that period or is it just me?

Nice looking knife in any account.

You're right Ohen. It's the machine radius in comparison to the hand radius.

Thanks everyone for your input. You guys are all awesome
