Although a bit heavier and the handle a bit squarer (but longer!:))

The RC 5 does not have that hideous thumb ramp that killed the Bravo for me, and now the RC 5 has kydex to boot!!!

Will find out this weekend for sure but out of the bag she looks promising

I is NOT a thumb ramp,it is a fire steel striker, Yes it is hideous and not needed, (whats wrong with the back of the blade )I know 2 people who have the Bravo, Both have ground the striker off

Other than that it is a great blade, (still like my Rc5 more )

Actually, it is a thumb ramp that doubles as a striker. Correct thumb placement is in front of, not behind the ramp. One thing for certain, you either love it or hate it:) that's for sure.

Agreed! I fortunately don't mind the thumb ramp. The shop will grind it off for you if you don't like it. Bark River Knives and RATs are the only fixed blades I own anymore. Two great companies that really need to put out some folders ;)

I really like the Bravo 1, and decided to buy another one instead of the RP knife. The B1 was easier to buy online than the RP knife, which had way too many rules for me to follow. I do how ever look forward to buying a "RC 10" or what ever its called once out in production and it easier to buy

Well if you want to split hairs....
You put your thumb infront of the striker, if you are not meant to put your didgit on the striking ramp it is no longer a thumb ramp...

Yea, I know what you mean. It's so hard to say "Yes, I want one" and then follow a link and pay for it.

It was like rocket surgery.:D

I'm looking for a Bravo right now. Is the RC-5 really that close in size, I thought the Bravo was smaller, less beefy..... Hmmmm...

The Bravo whatever you wanna call it worked for thumb placement "in front" and rear for that matter and striking but if you choked up on it the pad between you thumb and index finger caught hell. I do like BRKT tho they make some fantastic blades and the Bravo I think would be insane if the whatever you wanna call it was ground off.

If it was that easy, I would have one. But since I dont use paypal, well not that simple, friend. The problem was I wanted to send a check and the rules stated to send in with the "form". So I was going to mail it up and was going to mail it in yesterday, when I read that we should not send in money, it will be returned. Any way, I missed out and thats ok, Im sure I wont need therapy.

Not send in money? I'm confused now?

Man, I just don't know how to be any more plain with the list of rules. Rule # 4 said you can send a check or money order in with the form. Wow, I'm at a loss for words.

I read that the RP knife sale was closed, dont send in money or it will be returned. That was my understanding (the thread I read, I try to read all the stickys before I read anything else). When I read that I thought my window was closed, and figured I was too late. Anyway, If I was mistaken, my bad, life goes on, I have plenty of RC knives to play with (and I can always write Rat Pack #25 on one w/ a sharpie :D).
