I just ordered my first Becker, a BK-7. I always liked the KA-BAR USMC knife, but didn't like the narrow tang on it. The BK-7 has a full tang which should hold up much better. I have a strong feeling that I will become a Becker addict as I already want to make the BK-3 my next acquisition. And I am positive there is a BK-2 with my name on it somewhere down the road.

Congratulations. The BK7 was my first Becker buy also.

Danger Danger!

The BK7 is such a Great all round workhorse of a Knife at a great bang for the buck price, that you could end up owning more than One.:D

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the forum. Very addicting indeed.

Welcome to the forum and I think you will love the BK7 its one of my favs....

Congtrats on your new blade. Welcome to the party.

They're all good, but before you get the big guys (BK-2, BK-9) get one of the Neckers, either the BK-11 original Necker, or the BK-14 Eskabar. Unless you need the bottle opener on the original, I'd start with the Eskabar. And really, levering the knife spine off a stout thumb or knuckle works just fine as a bottle opener, too.

If I recall correctly, the BK-7 comes with a Remora. That will be placed in a neck sheath with a MagSlab firestarter. Big plans ahead for this blade.

Chances are you won't get the Remora with your 7. That was a limited run as I understand it. It sucks that a bunch of retailers still use the same promo pics showing them together as a package, but I'll be real surprised if you get it. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but otherwise, welcome and enjoy your new 7!

If it doesn't come with a Remora, I'll survive. Wasn't really buying it for the neck knife anyway. Already have one that I am very satisfied with. But I am waiting on a set of Osage Orange slabs for a handle for the BK-7. Just the start of what I want to do with it.

Some of the 7's and 9's used to come with a Remora (BK 13) If you got one, good for you. Cool little blade. My 9 came with one. Actually like it a lot. For a real small knife it works.

Welcome to the Beckerlution, its like a revolution, just with BKT knives.:D

Glad you got a 7, those things are so universal, they really fit the bill for just about everything from combat to kitchen duty. I dubbed it, "The Little Black Dress of the BKT lineup" some time ago, mostly because it goes anywhere and does anything. I love all of mine, and wish I could get some more time with them. Next up in my rotation, is the BK77, I need to spend some time with that.

Once again, congrats on the blade, it will serve you well.

One guy coins the term Beckerphernalia, and suddenly, everyone wants a piece of the action.

Oh yeah, welcome to the new dude.

You asked for pics, so here they are. The first one is my BK-7 right out of the box. I found the grivory handles to be a little slick. So for the time being, I have para-corded the handle. The second pic shows the BK-7 with the para-cord handle.
