Hopefully this is the right place for this, if not, please let me know.

I've noticed on the Makers Exchange, in the folders sub-forum, that many times a slipjoint is snapped up quickly by a basic member with very low posts. Do custom slipjoint collectors troll the forums to just pick up knives? It doesn't bother me, it just confuses me a bit and was wondering if someone could fill me in. Thanks, Adam

Slip joints have always been hot...so maybe...but with the introduction of new makers to the forums and existing makers posting slip joints more often for sale...why wait for a specific pattern.....it's a win /win

Some of the makers do not take orders and are not readily available from dealers. However, they sometimes new post knives here for anyone. I would not call it trolling, more like "strolling".
