maybe dumb question

i got this knife from my dad and he said he bought it in the early 90s.. he doesnt remember what the knife is called .also he said that the tip broke off so he had to grind it back to a point.. so please let me know what i have :thumbup:

That's a spyderco Worker. My uncle gave one to my dad when I was a kid. Great knives. His was stolen probably 15 years ago. I've got a huge scar on my thumb from playing with it. I wish I could find one, just for old times sake.
 
First knife spyderco came out with. Also the knife used in their patent of May 11 1981 for the spyderco hole, "clip it'and front lock. First C1's had 2screws to hold the clip,later versions 3. The C1 also came with aluminium scales, black coating and in a embellished version"evolution edition"
 
Mine has 3 screws to hold the clip on.. And I'm happy to own it. What kind of steel did they use for it. It still really sharp
