Just picked up my first Tom Mayo. Medium TNT model with vines and roses stainless Damascus blade. I've heard from others about how nice they are, but I was a little apprehensive about getting one. Thought the value was going to come down because of the Buck contract.

This is one soild piece of pocket carry! Thick blade and tight lock-up. There are different holes in all models, but this one is actuall eronomically correct to me. The hole placement on this particular knife is in a spot on the handle where when holding it, my middle finger fits on top of it for a more secure grip.

If any of you are hesitating getting a Mayo because of wait or price; their worth both. Just don't be surprised on how really nice it is once your get it! I have pics, but lack of a decent computer won't allow me to post.

Might it look something like this? :)

I dont know, reading your description, sounded like the one i sold/traded a few months ago, looks like I was right. :)

Like most Tnts, it will benefit from a good synthetic oil in the pivot, and a dab of good grease on the ball detent.

Great knife! Great catch! Wish I sill had it. :)

Feel free to use my pics by the way if you like them, i may have a few more too, if you want those, email me.

Ari
