month...year...

He just blew me away.

I know many already know about it, because anyone I showed my TNT's to at the show also saw my gift that Tom bestowed upon me. I was so stoked, and proud.

It is no secret how I feel about Mayo and his knives...but I want to share a little more.

I am in absolute awe of this man's knives. I marvel at the beauty and craftsmanship that is the TNT.

Part of the "package" that comes with owning custom knives is, of course, the relationship one develops with makers.

My initial interest, of course, was the knife. When I first heard of TNT's I knew very little about the maker. As I became more and more enamoured of TNT's, I began to develop a friendship with Tom.

As time passed, I realized how fortunate I was, not only to have found my "holy grail" of folders, but to have come upon a true friend.

Tom's honor, generosity, and compassion knows no peer.

The fact that Tom gave me the first folder he ever made attests to the attributes he has in such overwhelming abundance.

I don't mind repeating what I told Tom yesterday evening after our parting meal, "I don't know what I would've done without ya', you gave me direction, in more ways than one".

Tom Mayo is a true Prince among men. I am proud and honored to call him my friend.
