hello

I recently bought a modified (thumb ramp removed, finger groove chamfered) mayo tnt here on the exchange. The description said it was unused and I, being naive, assumed there was nothing wrong with it. I get it today and find that the pivot is very dirty and the blade uncentered.

So I took it apart and cleaned it, hoping that when I put it back together it would be nice and centered. Nope :grumpy:

I searched and found that the problem is usually a loose screw somewhere. I tightened all the screws but the problem persists. I dont think I can send it in for warranty repair because of the modifications.

Is there anything I can do?

With the blade closed, note to which scale it leans. Then open it, and push the tip of the blade toward that scale. Tom Mayo told me how to do that, and it worked for me.
