Hey guys. I picked up a Buck Mayo TNT a while ago that is signed by Mr. Mayo. His signature is engraved on the blade with one of those electric engravers. I've had this knife for a couple weeks now and haven't used it yet because I'm not sure if I should or if I should keep it in the black wooden box as an "investment". I'm just wondering what you Buck experts think. Do you think that it might be worth something in the future? Or now? I know that its discontinued. It did not however come with any certificate of authenticity or anything. Also, does the TNT come in just the black wood box or does it originally come in a cardboard box over that. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

I too just recently picked up a normal production Buck Mayo TNT and it comes with just a regular "made in china" wood display box, but nice at that.

I am loving using this knife!

Don't know if the machine engraved sig makes it worth more or not, but if you are going to keep it NIB I would pick up another for use!'

Tom Mayo's designs are beautiful and functional and I wish I could afford some of his customs. Thank goodness he did a couple collaborations with Buck ie. TNT and Waimea.

I have a couple of the CF TNT's and one Waimea. They all came with the wood box inside a plain white cardboard sleeve that is unmarked. The knives themselves came in a foam sleave and were packed, along with the COA, Buck literature and wood box (in it's white sleave), inside a sealed brown cardboard box with the Buck label on the end of that.

Mr. Mayo's signature is actually hand engraved on the blade, its not just like a laser etch. It was from a special "gift" that Buck gave to a certain knife dealer for exceptional service. They originally gave them a wood plaque with four Buck knives, each of which was signed by the knife designer. The person I bought the knife from split the four knives up and sold them individually.

Excellent thank you very much for explaining that.

As far as I see it, I don't think that it will be worth much of anything because I don't have any documentation on Tom Mayo signing it, and all I have is the black wooden box. No cardboard sleeve or Buck literature.

Anyone else have any input?
