Great pic of the Shockwave. I only got the email from knifeart two or three days ago, been fighting the urge to buy one :)

Hows is the opening rotation? Is the oval hole enough for your thumb to get around the forward guard or do you mainly use the flipper?
 
Anything that Mayo makes is very very nice (knife wise that is) ! :D
 
Dark, you can really only use the oval thumb opener if you have really big hands. This sucker opens just as fast as an automatic,
with the flipper. The action is super-smooth and the lock-up is rock solid... The grinds on the blade are also a work of art !!!
