Who has had this done? Not the results, I have a large classic that was Mayonized, and now have a hard time looking at the plain ones. But, when I start looking for a small (used), I'd like to have an idea of how many are out there. If I got one, it would bring my folder count up to 2. I wouldn't be asking this if Tom still offered this service, but I understand he no longer does. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. Thanks.

I have small user sebbie I drilled holed myself. Looks just as nice as what I have seen Mayo does. Killed a lot of talonite bits but worth it. You should try to do it yourself so you choose your design. It is my edc and get lots of compliments.

Tom Mayo annouced a few months ago thaat due to medical reasons he not doing sebs anymore. But I posted on the wanted forums and picked one up, so I think there may be more out there than we think.

OK so Tom Mayo has health problems and no longer does the preferred perforations. Apparently CR will not do it for some reason (Why, structural integrity? what?). So who will customize the sebbie? As I write this I think I am on the wrong forum for this question.

if you not restricted to holes, matt cucchiara (pontiaker) does awesome sebbie mods, using his "fizz" and "meltdown" based designs.

actually, I think any knifemaker who doesn't frown on working on others' knives can help you out. The thing about the mayonised ones was that Tom also sharpened the sebbie up (real sharp, sharper than factory), tweaked the action so that it became buttery, no, glassy smooth (much, much smoother than factory NIB) and easy to lock/unlock. Tom also changed the thumbstuds and satinized the flats of the blade.

Sigh....now I'm beginning to regret selling my mayonised sebbie, but it's now with a good friend so that's good too....

I've got mine being done by Matt who is great to work with. I have pix of what he's done but will wait until it is in hand before taking more and posting. Great stuff!

Decided not to wait to take pix and simply share the one Matt sent me. The mod on my '98 vintage regular Sebbie consists of a meltdown job, heat blued handle slab, and a custom "spiral galaxy" Fizz treatment. Love it :)!

The majority of my Sebenzas are of the "large" variety although I do have a "mayo'd" S30V Small that has been sitting in a Mission Wallet in case I ever wanted to carry it. Makes a nice counterpoint to some of my more "collectable" small "P" Sebenzas along with my LDC109 and of course the "woodies" :D

get yourself a Mayo-nized LARGE. fellahs! ( thanks Wali! ) :D

Hmmmm. Take a gander over to the Trade/Knives section in the exchange. My large is an older one with the BG42 blade. All I've had to do so far with light use is just hit it on a loaded strop to keep it shaving sharp. Tom really does put an edge on these things.

I found my small Seb this year just by watching all the for sale links I could find. Got a beauty from a guy in England who'd never used it.

Sent my large classic to Pontiaker. He's gonna melt / fizz / smooth it out. Time sure is passing slow these days.
