I just looked at bucks website and the Mayo Cutback and Hilo are listed as 420HC now where they were 440C.

When is/was this change made?

That's just great. I was about to enter a Hilo order and decided to come to the Buck forum as the site that I ordered from recently slipped my mind. It was irawoods...but then I read this about the steel switch.
Guess things happen for a reason, so maybe I'll hold off. Or get one in each steel. Choices are good, but this is freakin' insane.

I've noticed the same thing about the 370 series slipjoints.

Previously we were told they were 440C, but now they are showing as 420HC.

Can we get an answer from anyone at Buck?

I would really like to get an answer on this. I purchased my Mayo Cutback just because the blade was 440C. If the 420HC hasn't started shipping yet, I may get another.
