Long of the short is that I have a McCullock EM14ES electric chainsaw (don't ask, I didn't buy it) which needs a new bolt. For lack of a better ddescription its the bolt which holds the bar tight... Nut stripped and took the bolt thread with it. Now, I haven't torn it all apart yet because I don't know if I can even find parts for this saw let alone this part- no website I've been on has the EM14ES listed. Does anybody have any ideas where I might be able to find parts for this saw, or am I chasing a wild goose, so to speak?

I don't know a single pro. chainsaw operator that would have anything good to say about McCullock
saws (me included). You're far better off cutting your losses and getting a new set up. :)

I have Sthill and Husqvarna saws that have taken years of abuse out in the forrest, 5-6 days a
week for ~8 hours a day. They have needed little more than a standard service and some meager
spare parts over the course of their lives.

If you get the bolt and nut off, take it to a hardware store and see if you can find one to match it. Some hardware stores have really good selections of fasteners.

I would agree with Haze, find a nice used Stihl or Husq. They are great saws
and you can still get parts for just about all of them

Try craigslist or ebay, or posting wanted on Craigslist. The screw may be found at a hardware store, and possibly the piece that puts tension on the bar as well. If not, you may be able to fabricate with a grinder. Good luck.

Rat, it was late and spelling wasnt my top priority when I posted :D

Haze, I got a nice Husqvarna but I would like to fix this lil 'ol electric just to have around. Tired of waking the neighbors at 11pm when I have a fire.
