Someone started a McGrew topic in the Bernard Levine forum, and learned that their's was contract-made by Camillus. I posted this photo of my McGrew and was told by Phill Gibbs that the McGrew Barlow was not made by Camillus, but perhaps Colonial or Imperial.

Any ideas on whether or not Imperial-Schrade may have made this Barlow? Or any way to determine if it was made by Colonial instead?

The blade SHAPE looks like Imperial/Colonial to me
Overall, it looks Imperial also

Just my non expert .02 cents
I have seen quite a few Imperials in my day
Although, no where near the amount of others here...

I got a small McGrew jack last month.

The frame and back spring are identical to a similar size Ranger brand jack I have had for two yrs. The pins are the same as well.

The Ranger was definitely made by Colonial and the McGrew looks like it was made in the same way.

Just my opinion.

no pics to support this, but I believe that Colonial made both these knives.

:)
