I recently got my hands on a 707 sequel by Benchmade. So far loving it. However I've noticed the designers names be mentioned in reviews, McHenry & Williams. Thing is I don't know a thing about them. What other knives have they designed? Are they still making custom knives? Clearly they know what they're doing, it's just that I'm not familiar with their work.

Essentially, tell me more about them :P

They've done several designs for Benchmade, and were the inventors of the Axis lock. :)

I don't think either one did any collaborations with any other knife making companies. As far as Benchmade they have designed the 710, 705, 707, 180. William McHenry is also the designer of the 3300 Infidel OTF.

You will have a hard time finding pictures of their custom knives, let alone actual knives. Over the years I've been into this hobby I only saw one picture and it was of a sold knife on dealer website.

you just have to find the right spots like some knife dedicated stores, Plaza Cutlery has several models of theirs, sadly I didnt catch a pic of it but it was in the same shelf as these

I will go bankrupted if we had shops like that in South Africa.
