Just received a McKenna in the mail and the copper scales are much darker than the pics that I saw or videos that I watched. Very nice knife but a bit disappointed. Is this common?

Hey man, want to post a picture of it? I dont have the specific model but have a few copper Civivis to compare.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll post one tomorrow as it’s getting dark here and I want to give a true representation in proper light.

Wow that is pretty dark...here is my baklash, which I've owned for about a year so it should be darker than when I bought it.

Fit and finish, as well as the action is spot on, but if I would have known it was this dark I would have gotten the satin Damascus blade instead of the black Damascus. As it stands, I’ll probably give this to one of my nephews and continue to carry my 940-1 as my dress knife.

If you look at the thread that says "which is your favorite Civivi", it looks more pinkish in that one too...so I'd say you definitely got a darker batch lol, not the norm.
