McMaster G-10 and carbon fiber questions

I was hoping someone who has ordered G-10 and/or carbon fiber from McMaster-Carr can answer a few questions:

1) What color is their "brown" G-10? Is it tan or more like a chocolate brown?

2) What's the difference in appearance/usability of their "matte" and "plain weave" carbon fiber products?

Mc has colored G-10 also. Flip the page - I think its there. I bought some black, but I think they had red and blue too. The brown G-10 is like a light phenolic brown... I know that's really not a descriptive, but it's definitely NOT chocolate. It's like a dark tan... kind of like the same color as a Sugar Daddy... hey I guess we'd call that caramel color!
