Got my custom in yesterday, an MCK1 from Jonathan McNees

http://www.mcneescustomknives.com/

Love it! 4 inch blade, 8.5 inch overall, 3/16th thick SHARP 1095 with hamon, combo black/red G10 with red liners and kydex sheath included. The blade height is nice and tall which I prefer for cutting tasks, full height grind and false swedge. It melts in your hand and has a very secure feel. The handle length is just perfect, not sticking out too far from the bottom of my hand.

At any rate, I'm very impressed. Just a huge bang for the buck knife right here from a great guy. The whole transaction was without issue. If you want something different, less mainstream but with a great blend of traditional and modern, this is you knife I think!

'Nuff said. Picture time.

Yeah, impossible to beat in my opinion. Plus a kydex sheath with Teklok??? Get outta here!

Seems that a lot of people want to say that it is an insult to higher priced customs if you compare lower priced customs or production models against the higher priced ones. I say BS, let the knife stand on it's own regardless of price!

Good pics. Jonathan makes a great knife. They can take a beating and mine feels awesome in the hand aswell. I carry mine on my days off.

Well and a guy has got to start somewhere you know? I doubt we'll be able to find the same knife at the same price a few years from now. Sure there's some fine fit and finish that sets it apart but it's utilitarian in purpose, not safe queenish!

I not not think it will be your last,I met him at the Blade Show and he is just as nice in person.I have several of his knives and I think they are top notch at any price.
Thanks,
Michael

This is also my first knife in 1095...I'm pretty impressed with it's ability to get, and stay, VERY sharp!
