I picked up a Mcusta Basic, damascus and quincewood folder a month or so back. Looked like a nice folder, and the owner made me a pretty nice deal on it (thanks again!) Sweet little knife, I've had a had time letting other knives back into my edc rotation, I like it that much. Couple of days ago, the great limitation of the pocket clip reared it's head, and I snagged the clip on something. Can't even recall what, striker plate from a door jamb, maybe. At any rate, one of the points of attachement for the clip bent out, and failed. Just broke clean through at the top of the arc, the arm on the top on the pic below. The Mcusta's clip is actually a folded over extension of the liner, so I'm having a little trouble visualizing how I'm gonna replace/fix this. Any suggestions? I'm not equiped for a weld, and suspect it wouldn't hold even if I was. I imagine I could easily cut it off and grind it down pretty close to flush, but I'm wondering if I can get an aftermarket clip on it both securely and in such a way as to not ugly a pretty knife up too badly. Anyone have any words of wisdom for me? Beyond, "Have G2 make a belt sheath for you.", that is.
