When I bought my Mcusta Katana is was ridiculously smooth, the action operated like nothing I'd ever had, but for some reason it just suddenly got rough.

I think it's the liner-lock, and I've disassembled/cleaned/reassembled it to have it smooth for a couple flips, but then rough again. I'm not sure what to do here.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the de-tent groove, the liner-lock bar is pretty much untouched, the whole thing is rather new.

Anyone got any suggestions on how I can get this to operate smooth again?

make sure everything is lined back up when you put it together and put a little lube on the detent ball.

Also check the washers. I believe mine were nylon. If they absorb any oil and get any grit in them they can rough up the action.

other than that If the problem persists then contact your dealer and see if they can get in contact with mcusta.

Ah, I see my problem now!

The lubricant I was using was silicon, the type that you rub into the material and wipe dry, usually for squeaky threading and stuff. What I SHOULD have been using was thicker lubricant.

I took it apart and put a coating on the track and pivot, now it's smooth as butter. Butter made out of silk.

Thanks!
