I have an Mcusta Kasumi, and I took it to work with me tonight.
I showed it to some people, and them put it in the sheath and in my pocket. Sometime between then (7:30pm) and now (5:00am) it got quite a few dots of rust on the scales.
I was surprised it happened so fast. I guess the scales are not stainless damascus like the blade.
I am going to buy some rust remover/metal polish and something to protect the scales from rust (Militec or something similar).
Is it normal for rust to happen this quickly? What are the Kasumi damascus scales made of?
The knife wasn't damp when I put it into my pocket. Does non-stainless steel really just rust in a few hours even when dry?
