A little advice:
Last fall i purchased a MC15D Mcusta knife. A really beautiful knife.
Problem: When closed the blade is not centered and actually rubs hard against the side.
I can tighten the pivot screw and get it to center but, then it is to tight to easily open.

Also I am on my second email to info@mcustaknives.com regarding this issue and still no response.

Any suggestions?

With the knife in an open position, slightly loosen the pivot screw. Find a sturdy flat surface, I use a coffee table with a cloth spread where I plan to work. Lay the blade flat on the table so that the handle is almost touching the table edge. Be sure to have the side of the handle that the blade is touching (when the knife is in the closed position) on top. You are going to apply pressure to the blade, pushing it towards the side it is already touching. I know it looks like you would try to apply the pressure pushing the blade away from the side it is touching, but you don't. It may take more than one try, but when satisfied, just tighten the pivot to where you want it. Sometimes when you tighten the pivot, it will move the blade over, but it is trial and error, so you should get the hang of it and figure out quickly about how much to unloosen the pivot at the beginning of the process.

There are other ways to do this, but this way has been the best I've found for my own use. Though sometimes taking the entire knife apart will do the trick upon reassembling the knife. As long as the blade itself is not warped, then one of the above should work.

Let us know how it goes.

Ha... it worked perfect..blade is now centered and opens with ease...
thanks Cutter..
I should have posted this earlier and not wasted my time with Mcusta customer service...

Glad it worked out! I think that the screws are not tightened in a tire like rotation and that this causes the blade tang to be off a hair causing the misalignment.

BTW, is this a LMC1515D Minamo-Sakura? I couldn't find a MC-15, but did find a MC-14, and MC-12 (Tactical Series). Just curious as I have always wanted to get one of these knives, MC-12 for sure, and the LMC-1515D looks absolutely stunning!:thumbup::)
